Hi Susan,
Shlomo's wedding was December 26, 1972. It was held at the site of the 1962(?) World's Fair in Flushing, Queens. I have lots of photos and will have to figure out how to post them.
Are you the same Susan who was at the HLP, Machon Hannah...

When Shlomo made the wedding everyone stood around , gently swaying in mutual happiness as Shlomo gently strummed his guitar, telling over beautiful teachings and stories related to marriage, the different parts of the ceremony, blessings for the ...

I'm curious to know if any of the Chevra from the HLP remember Shlomo's wedding. I think it was in 1973. I remember sitting at a table that was set up specially for the Holy Beggars. It was the first time I had met anyone from the HLP.

How did you meet Shlomo?
He stayed in my house in St. Louis when I was a little girl. My father probably knew Shlomo from yeshiva, also my father was the rabbi of a shul in St. Louis, so when Shlomo came there to perform, he stayed or visited with us. Then I was with Shlomo in New York when I was in Stern College, then in Israel. I lived in the House of Love and Prayer in Jerusalem one summer--does somebody out there remember the one on Rechov Teveria, or am I the only one? It was the most amazing experience.
What is your Jewish and/or spiritual practice today?
FBC (frum but cool)
Where do you live now?
Jerusalem
Please tell us a little about your life today.
I am a mother of 3, stepmother of 4, and grandmother of 23 (enough to keep anyone busy!). I am a quilter and an editor, plus I work for my husband's business (sigh).
Former hippie, now on the outside I look like I fit in with the neighborhood, but inside...it's still the 60's...
