tell people not to watch videos on this site especially on laptop computers. youtube videos should only be watched on youtube and not on other not so well maintained sites like house online. watching videos of shlomo on house online instead of on youtube caused my computer to crash and i have allready spent over 300 dollars to fix that computer
Arye, I don't recall meeting you either. What I remember and cherish the most about Shlomo, was his love of everyone and how he shared that love with so many. His teaching & stories were entrancing and his music has always touched my soul in a very deep way, like no other Jewish music has. I stayed in touch with Shlomo after leaving the House. First I was living in NY and spent Shabbos with him & Neila soon after he was married. He even once tried setting me up with some guy from Poland!!! When I moved to Los Angeles, I discovered that he was performing the marriage of a young lady who lived next door to me, and he came to visit us. I also saw him each time he came to L.A. and would stay with Josh & Lillian Ritchie, whose youngest son was best friends with my oldest son. In fact, when my son went to Israel, he went to Mo'diim and stayed with Shlomo. One day I got a call from Shlomo, and when I asked him where he was, he said Italy! He said he was calling to tell me what a 'zeis' son I had. My son was touched deeply by Shlomo and called me in tears when Shlomo was nifter. Another anecdote about Shlomo that I don't know how many people are aware of, but Shlomo had an amazing memory for remembering people he had previously met, no matter how long ago it was. Personally, I will cherish always the time I knew Shlomo and my time at the House, and am really happy that you started this site. Susan
Aryae, Sholom, Someone told me there is a program that one can use,that you speak,and the computer types it. Would you know the name of it ? i think you should put music on the website, maybe the whole world is waiting to sing the song of shabos. this way the website will be more like the house.

of 1923 was an unsustainable lifestyle and aryae thought that spending all of one's energies on shabos in the america of the early seventies was an unsustainable lifestyle. fortuneately for us, there is less presure to work on shabos than there was in the america of 1923. our nesayon is not whether we are going to keep shabos or break shabos. our nesayon is whether we are going to mamash sing the song of shabos to the whole world until there will be mesianic peace and no more war in the whole world or whether we will be complacent to rest and eat cholent on shabos instead of work on shabos.
i want to thank my holy brother aryae for putting links to chabad and breslev websites on my page. i see a very big similarity between my grandfather's changing to a secular lifestyle and aryae's changfing to a secular lifestyle.
